We are seeking to raise the profile of the importance of prayer as a major tenet of Christian faith and fellowship in the local Church (Acts 2:42). They continued steadfastly in the Apostles Doctrine, Fellowship, Breaking of Bread and Prayer.
The opportunity to join with others of this church to thank God and pray generally for believer's needs, the life of the church and its programs, arises weekly on Sunday mornings at 9:45 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. The weekly intercession prayer ministry is now on regular Friday evenings at 6:30 p.m.; there will no longer be a meeting on Thursdays.
Then we are developing a new prayer initiative; Awakening the Watchmen. This is the calling forth of those being prepared by the Holy Spirit for the Ministry of Intercession; Our journey into prayer intercession will provide a basic biblical perspective. We shall seek to dispel myths and misunderstandings about intercessory prayer and seek to lay basic foundations; using key intercessory scriptures, we shall define the work and move into the function of intercessory prayer - asking the Holy Spirit to guide us. There is a revival of prayer - all races, colors, sizes, denominations, male and female, young and old - there is arising a worldwide army of intercessors. I am praying that you, dear brother and sister - will let this message be imparted to your spirit, become a participator, let your life be changed and become a society changer.
Following the successful introduction to this initiative on Friday 9th September, watch now for intercessory prayer and teaching together on Fridays, October 7th onwards at 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. at Westminster Chapel. There will be other monthly events following in the development of this initiative.
